Course description
FREE for professionals and educators supporting young people with an intellectual or developmental disability.
The Zoom course includes:
- How to create a positive and safe learning environment for teaching and learning about sexuality and sexual wellness
- Sexuality education in the New Zealand Curriculum
- Exploring personal values and attitudes towards sexuality and how these might impact a person with a disability
- Increase knowledge of The Colours of Sexuality and other teaching resources
- Practice responding to questions and tricky situations
- Recommended resources, support agencies and organisations
