For 85 years, we’ve been here. We’ve taken care of people’s sexual and reproductive health through wars and financial turmoil, through floods and droughts, and now, through a pandemic.
As we pivot to a new COVID framework, we want to acknowledge all our staff, but particularly those in Auckland and Hamilton who’ve been front and centre of service delivery during COVID restrictions.
We’ve designated Thursday 2 December as a paid wellbeing day for Auckland and Hamilton staff to take some time for themselves.
“An organisation like ours is only as good as its people. Our people are as good as it gets! They’ve worked incredibly hard to support our clients throughout what has been a very challenging year,” chief executive Jackie Edmond says.
“The last day of the alert level system seemed a perfect time for us to give these staff some time and space for themselves. We want to say thank you and we want them to know that their wellbeing is important to us.”
All clinics outside Auckland and Hamilton will be business as usual. Many services will be offered through our virtual services and our client contact centre will be working as usual.
Family Planning has clinics located throughout New Zealand. Use the clinic finder to find your nearest clinic.
