International News
Our work in the Pacific is expanding with workshops soon to be held in Tuvalu and Papua New Guinea.
The workshops, with the Tuvalu Family Health Association (TuFHA) and Safe Motherhood Alliance PNG (SMALL PNG), are part of an advocacy programme being funded by the Asia Pacific Alliance for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights and being delivered by Family Planning New Zealand.
The goal of the programme is to support TuFHA and SMALL PNG to advocate for increased prioritisation of sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR).
The workshops will focus on developing advocacy plans to ensure that SRHR is a strong part of national implementation plans for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
SRHR is covered in two of the 17 SDGs to be finalised this September and a target is set to achieve universal access to sexual and reproductive health by 2030. The SDGs will shape the agendas and policies of 193 UN member states for the next 15 years.
Family Planning has clinics located throughout New Zealand. Use the clinic finder to find your nearest clinic.
