Publications
We have once again published a MP Briefing for all Incoming MPs in the newly-elected Parliament.
One hundred and twenty one MPs have received a copy of the Briefing which reminds them that sexual and reproductive health is important for both individuals and the wider community.
Among the most significant health problems in the world are:
- unintended pregnancy
- sexually transmissible infections (including HIV/AIDs)
- sexual violence.
In the Briefing we recommended three important actions:
- Political leadership, for example, a national action plan to address sexual and reproductive health and rights
- Sexual and reproductive health services that are easy to access and are affordable
- Comprehensive sexuality education for all of New Zealand
