Professional Training and Development Programme Coordinator - Newmarket

Job Description

Family Planning’s Clinical and Health Promotion services are located throughout New Zealand. We are focused on ensuring our services are located in areas of high need and are accessible for rangatahi Māori and young people. About the Role

We have a permanent, full-time opportunity for a Professional Training and Development Coordinator to join Family Planning based in our Newmarket office in Auckland. The starting band for this role is $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 depending on experience.

Reporting to the Professional Training and Development Manager, this role will coordinate and support the delivery of Family planning courses and programmes to internal and external users in accordance with our contracts. As the key contact for our users, an engaging and proactive communication style is essential.

You will be the super user of our learning management system and provide the necessary administrative support to ensure the effective running of the Professional Training and Development (PTD) Unit. You will also support and assist the PTD manager to ensure the delivery of Family Planning courses to a high standard.                      

To be considered for the role you will ideally have:

  • A BA (minimum) in any health and/or social science or humanities discipline.
  • NZ Certificate in Adult Education & Training (L5) or equivalent teaching qualification
  • NZQA unit standards 4098, 11551 and 11552 or equivalent
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience within a learning and development environment
  • Demonstrated experience in managing a learning management system
  • Course design experience.  Experience with the development on online courses is desirable
  • Comprehensive understanding of blended and online learning and teaching delivery.
  • Skills in assessment design and reporting.
