Our Supporters

Family Planning would like to thank and acknowledge the following trusts, foundations and businesses who have made a substantial contribution towards our work.

The Lion Foundation

In December 2011 the Lion Foundation granted us just over $7,500 to purchase an ActivBoard to enhance the clinical training and professional development we provide.

We are grateful for the Lion Foundation’s contribution towards improving the skills of those working in the sexual and reproductive health sector.

Mana Community Grants Foundation

In July 2011 we received just over $3,000 from the Mana Community Grants Foundation to install an LCD information screen in our Porirua clinic.

This brings the number of Family Planning clinics with information screens up to 18.  We have already received positive feedback from our clients about the screens and the value of the sexual and reproductive health and relationship messages they are showing.

Endeavour Community Trust

The Endeavour Community Trust granted us nearly $9,000 in May 2011 to install LCD information screens in our Gisborne, Whanganui and Margaret Sparrow (Wellington) clinics.

This is part of a national project to have information screens in a number of Family Planning clinics.  The screens will deliver a range of sexual and reproductive health and relationship messages to our clients as they wait for their appointment.

We are grateful to the Endeavour Community Trust for their significant contribution to this important national project.

The Southern Trust

The Southern Trust granted Family Planning over $20,000 in April 2011 to install LCD information screens in six clinics in the lower North Island and South Island.  The screens will play an important role in our social marketing activities by delivering a range of sexual and reproductive health and relationship messages.

We are grateful to the Southern Trust for their significant contribution to this important national project.

Family Planning Donors

In January 2011, with the help of a grant and Family Planning donors, we received just over $9,000. This will be used to reprint our booklet Q&A – answers to all those interesting questions about growing up. Q&A was designed with considerable input from young people and covers those aspects of puberty they told us they wanted to know about.

This funding will enable us to make hard copies of the booklet available free of charge to low decile schools.

Q&A is available as a pdf on the Info & Research section of this website.
