Leave a Bequest to Family Planning

A gift in your will, also known as a bequest, is a great way to ensure Family Planning can carry on our work for the benefit of future generations.

Family Planning was established in 1936. Over the years we have helped generations of women choose the size of their families and the spacing of their children.

The needs of New Zealanders have changed over time and so have the services we offer and the issues in which we are involved.  Access to reliable contraception and other sexual and reproductive health services remain a priority but we also focus on ensuring young people receive good quality, factual sexuality and relationship education.

You can help us continue this work in the future. Bequest income is very special to Family Planning and your gift will be invested for the long-term benefit of our clients. And what’s more, it won’t affect your income today.

Types of gifts

Percentage of assets
You may wish to leave Family Planning a percentage of your total assets.

Specified sum or assets
You may wish to leave a specified sum of money or particular assets to Family Planning, such as shares, art work or an insurance policy.

Residue
After you have made provision for family and friends you may wish to leave Family Planning the remainder (residue) of your estate, or part of it.

Legal Advice

A will is a legal document.  We strongly advise seeking legal advice or visiting a lawyer to ensure your will is properly drafted and legally binding.
