Family Planning is a registered private training establishment and a recognised provider of health promotion programmes. Our Health Promoters provide programmes for young people, their parents or caregivers, teachers and community workers.
Our Clinical Training and Development arm offers specialised education in sexual and reproductive health for primary health care professionals. Courses are offered throughout New Zealand.

School & Community Services
All sessions with schools are designed to meet the requirements of the Health and Physical Education Curriculum helping young people to develop key competencies in thinking, using language, symbols and texts, relating to others, managing self and participating and contributing.
Our services include programmes for early years and primary, intermediate and secondary level. We also offer teacher training and support. Our community sessions include workshops for young people, adults, parents and caregivers.

Family Planning runs professional training courses on all non clinical aspects of sexuality and relationships for teachers, teacher aids, community workers, nurses, caregivers, aides, counsellors, social workers and youth workers. These courses are listed on our website and online registration is available.

Clinical Training for Health Professionals
Family Planning is a registered private training establishment and a recognised provider of specialised education in sexual and reproductive health for primary health care professionals.
Courses are offered throughout New Zealand for contraception, sexual health and cervical smears. A number of the contraception and sexual health courses are fully funded by the Ministry of Health for those who meet priority criteria. These courses are listed on our website and online registration is available. We will also customise a course to meet your requirements.

Diploma in Sexual and Reproductive Health
The Diploma in Sexual and Reproductive Health is a Post Graduate Diploma. It is recognised by the Medical Council of New Zealand as a qualification for vocational registration for doctors working in the Family Planning and Reproductive Health branch.
