Menopause

Te ruahinetanga

If you’re experiencing symptoms of menopause our nurses and doctors can provide advice.

Menopause is commonly experienced between the ages of 45-55 but can happen earlier.

A full history is taken at appointments followed by a discussion of changes or problems for the client at this time of her life.

The nurse or doctor may discuss available treatments to control symptoms with you.

These treatment options may include:

  • Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT)
  • natural therapies
  • menopause implant (a method of hormone delivery).

Talk to our nurses or doctors for help and advice on hot flushes, heavy bleeding and other mid-life issues.
