Article 1 – Partnership
Family Planning is committed to the promotion of Māori partnerships in decision making at all levels.
Article 2 – Protection
Family Planning is committed to effectively acknowledging and protecting Māori needs and aspirations.
Article 3 – Participation
Family Planning is committed to involving Māori participation to ensure equality of opportunity and outcomes.
Operational Principles
Family Planning is committed to following these principles at an operational level. To do this we will:
- Ensure that the needs and aspirations of Māori are reflected in the development, planning and delivery of services, policies and processes.
- Build internal capabilities and knowledge to enhance and increase our responsiveness to Māori.
- Build and maintain credible, long-term relationships with Māori.
- Work collaboratively with other agencies and stakeholders to improve outcomes for Māori.
- Implement monitoring and evaluation processes to monitor responsiveness to Māori in policies, services and processes.
