New Zealanders should be celebrating the positive results from a Relationship Services survey which confirms that talking to your partner makes for the best sex and for the best relationships, Family Planning Chief Executive Jackie Edmond says.

“There’s a clear link between closeness and conversation – a link that’s confirmed by the survey results,” Ms Edmond says. “Even though conversations about sexual issues can be difficult, they can and do have the most positive effects on relationships.”

“Whether a relationship is new, established or somewhere in between – taking the time to talk to each other can make all the difference.”

Ms Edmond says Family Planning is pleased to support the Relationship Services survey and she will be in Auckland for the launch event on Friday 26 February.

Details of the survey can be found at www.relate.org.nz
