The publications below are in downloadable format. Some resources are available in hardcopy you can order or purchase from Family Planning's Resource Unit. PO Box 11515, Manners Street, Wellington 6142. Print out, fill in and fax or post the order form to recieve your resources.

 

New Dads.pdf (7.1MB) - A5 booklet New Dads - for Dads-to-be is designed to give new das a few tips on how to prepare for their new role. It looks at how they might be feeling as they come to grips with the idea of being a dad. It talks about how their relationship might be affected during the pregnancy and after the birth. It also aims to give them some ideas about what they can do to help their partner, and provides a checklist to help prepare for the first few weeks of their baby's life.

This isn't love....this is control.pdf (2.9MB) - the pocket sized fold-out resource seeks to reduce violence and abuse. Aimed to challenge young people to think about their own behaviour and that of their partner, to help understand the danger signs of a relationship abuse, and give them the information about where to go for help if they are in a violent relationship. A5 booklet is designed to help parents/guardians inform and support their child/tamariki develop the attitudes, skills and behaviours they need to become a healthy, happy and responsible sexual adult. Life-long sexuality.pdf (400KB) - A Family Planning pamphlet, focusing on sexual health for the over 60s. It covers physical, emotional and social changes associated with sexuality and aging, sexual health maintenance, and issues around new relationships.

Safe Relationships, Safer Sex.pdf (1.01MB) - A booklet for use with people with mild to moderate Learning Disabilities, covering personal and private body parts, places, behaviours, relationship types, and Safer Sex.

Your Choice.pdf (5.66MB) - A booklet that aims to give teenagers a comprehensive read as many become sexually active. It is direct, talks about young people's real experiences and covers issues including sex and sexuality, relationships, pressure, and drugs & alcohol. (Hardcopy available)

Q&A.pdf (3.16MB) - For pubertal-aged young people. Includes physical and emotional changes, reproductive systems, how babies are made, and sensitive handling of sex. (Hardcopy available)
